Little Explorers
At Te Ōki we are proud to offer our eldest tamariki the opportunity to attend our Little Explorers adventures.
Why do we have Little Explorers?
This is an awesome opportunity for our eldest tamariki to be able to venture outside the centre on a regular occasion. They are often the longest standing members of our Tupu room and it is a wonderful chance for them to see themselves as the 'big kids'. Getting out into nature also has such amazing benefits for growth and well being!
What do we do?
Where do we go?
This is where our nine eldest children are able to take fortnightly trips out into the community, generally to an area of bush to go for a walk. We particularly enjoy the Mangakara Walk, Yarndley's Bush and Lake Rotopiko. We also go to the Ōtorohanga Kiwihouse and the Hamilton Zoo.
